Teacher of the Year
The purpose of the MFLA TOY is to elevate the status and public profile of the language profession and recognize accomplished members of the profession. The MFLA TOY will represent the state of Mississippi at the Southern Conference of Language Teaching (SCOLT) the following spring. Nominees must be a member of MFLA and must be a full time foreign language educator. If you are unsure of membership status, we can verify that for you.
This year, Klett World Languages has partnered with MFLA to offer a $1,000 travel award for the TOY recipient to travel to Washington, D.C. in March 2025 to attend Language Advocacy Days!
We will be asking nominated teachers to provide an up-to-date CV and a first-person statement on the value of learning language and culture once we receive nominations.
Nominations can be made by clicking here.
Nomination Deadline is September 15, 2024.
